From Canon to the Ordinary
Functions of the Canon to the Ordinary:
a) To ensure due compliance with the "Constitution and Canons of General Synod" of the Church and the "Constitution and Canons of this Diocese" b) Leading the Committee on Canons of the Diocese monitor the process of amendments and additions to the Articles and Canons in force. d) Assist the Bishop in matters relating to the needs of ordained ministry, including the creation of a seminary, Theological Institute or School within the Diocese. c) Oversee the selection of candidates for such a ministry as well as provide guidance and pastoral care to all candidates for holy orders and priests and deacons. e) Promote the publication of the Canons in force and amendments. f) Maintain relations in the field of canon law with the Dioceses of the Province and of the Episcopal Church USA. g) Be familiar with "The Law of Religious Associations and Public Worship" and all those that derive from it.
